NEOD Newsletter Fall 2003
Dear
Welcome
to the 2003 – 2004 School Year!
We are excited to be working with such enthusiastic and talented dancers. Our faculty and staff strive to work as a team to provide a challenging and positive experience for all levels in our program.
We
continue to emphasize family involvement in our performing and fundraising
events. We hope we will see all of you
at our Jewelry
Beginning
in August, our performing Ensemble began rehearsing for our annual season of
performing Tchaikovsky’s beloved Christmas ballet, The Nutcracker. Thirty (30)
extras from the Elementary through Intermediate Levels and a group of very
talented adults joined the rehearsal schedule in September. Performances of this annual holiday treat
will be:
Magical Theater Company – The Park Theater,
December 13th.
Tickets are on order from Ticket Craft. We’ll post a sign in the studio and at Steiner as soon as they become available so you can get your orders in ahead of the rush.
This
is a special time for faculty and staff as we prepare for The Nutcracker and watch the progress of our young students. We wonder which young ladies and gentlemen
will someday perform the roles of the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier, or the
Snow Queen and her Cavalier, or Snowflakes, or Spanish, or Arabian, or Chinese,
or Candy Canes, or Marzipan, or Dew Drop and her Cavalier, or Flowers. For many dancers – this is where the dream
starts to become reality.
Cordially,
Brenda Stygar, Director
