A Non-Profit, Non-Competition School

Northeast Ohio Dance is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide students a uniquely enriching experience at a reasonable price. Our programs are partially subsidized by public and private funding and we pass this savings on to our clients. We offer family discounts as well as financial aid for students with demonstrated need. We do not surcharge our recital costumes over and above the actual acquisition and shipping costs.

We do not use student teachers.

We do not participate in competitions.

Dancing for the Mind & Body

Northeast Ohio Dance applies 100% of its effort teaching the art of dance. We emphasize Classical Ballet as the basis for the study of dance with Modern, Tap, Hip Hop and Jazz to augment the ballet training. Our exceptional teaching staff is dedicated to nurturing young dancers with a strong classical ballet technique and unified style.

The program provides inspiration and progressive physical development in a professional, friendly atmosphere. Our preference is to inspire rather than force the student to excel and to train them mentally as well as physically.

Training and Performance

Students at Northeast Ohio Dance can begin their education as early as age 3. For the students who want a performance emphasis, we offer a pre-professional program designed to provide conditions similar to those a professional dance company or college dance major program.

Annual Recital

Once a year we provide all our students an opportunity to give their parents, relatives, and friends a fair representation of some of the things they’ve learned during the year. Each class participates according to their abilities.

Other Opportunities

Northeast Ohio Dance’s pre-professional company presents a full-length production of “The Nutcracker” each year. Interested students in Ballet Elementary III or higher may volunteer to participate.
